My name is Julia P., math coach, university graduate with more than 20-year long teaching experience. My areas of expertise include: Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & Algebra 2, Geometry, College Algebra, Pre-calculus, Calculus; SAT, GRE & CAT tests. My personal traits which underline my professional success as a tutor are: love for children, patience, and ability to explain legibly and in plain words the essence of problems that seem complicated on the outside. I always share with my students the keys to being a proficient math problem solver. My instructions cut down on chances of making mistakes, aid comprehension, and build self-reliance. I follow a program of my own which I have developed during my experience. It starts with understanding the vocabulary of the subject, being able to determine which strategy to employ, and being able to quickly and automatically perform the necessary operation. In my teaching, I apply a step-by-step system which helps students to get better grades and excel in school. I have found a number of ways which allow students to raise their grades by studying smarter, not harder.
