I am a Credentialed Teacher in Math, Art and Digital Media, and work with all ages of students from 3-99. I have a Master's degree in Educational Technology, Magna Cum Laude, from Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Humboldt State University in Arcata, California.
Experience
I have successfully tutored math for 20 years. I believe in a simple learning philosophy: enthusiasm and "positive" subject conversation, creativity in teaching strategies, and dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of all my students. I love tutoring because everyone enjoys learning when they "get it," and there is no better way to learn than one-on-one with a tutor. Understanding a subject makes students confident and happy, which leads to educational success. I also have experience conducting ABA testing with ASD children, and am happy to work with them in any subject matter.

Tutoring makes my day, but I also love doing art: Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Sculpture, and Pen & Ink. I play the drums, guitar, and piano. I love tennis and soccer; go LA Galaxy! Along with art, music, sports, and reading some great books, I also like to swim, and hang out with my family and my dog Henry.
